East Bergholt
Ipswich
A sixth-form college on Ipswich's western edge and one of South Suffolk Pickleball's venues. It also hosted a pickleball introduction for teachers and Active Suffolk staff that made the regional TV news.
An indoor racket centre built by players who fell for padel and then pickleball, with two indoor pickleball courts bookable on MATCHi. Industrial unit outside, good fun inside.

Woodbridge
Suffolk's pickleball heartland: six indoor and six outdoor courts at Woodbridge School, used by RallyPoint and its 300-plus members for rec play, leagues and tournaments. Free tasters each month mean there's no excuse not to try.
Beginner friendly
A 400-member tennis club by the Deben with six floodlit courts and a pickleball offer. Woodbridge is turning into Suffolk's pickleball capital.
Rickinghall
A Suffolk village club with a permanent pickleball court and two taped ones, plus two weekly group sessions. The Friday beginners' group moves indoors to Wattisfield Hall for the winter.
Beginner friendly
Bury St Edmunds
Three pickleball courts at David Lloyd's Bury St Edmunds club, just outside the town centre. A solid set-up for west Suffolk members.
Felixstowe
A Felixstowe sports centre on High Road East that offers pickleball; the centre asks players to phone rather than book online for pickleball courts. Old-fashioned, but it works.
