Two professional-standard indoor pickleball courts, booked by the hour through Playtomic. Court hire runs £28–£40 depending on the slot, which splits to £7–£10 each with a four: dedicated-court quality at leisure-centre money, on Glasgow's south side.
Part of the Tollcross international swimming complex, with three indoor wooden courts available for pickleball on a pay-and-play basis through Glasgow Club's booking system. It's the east end's most reliable venue and an easy first booking for a group who just want a court.
The Commonwealth Games bowls venue in Kelvingrove Park also hosts pickleball, with sessions and court hire arranged directly through the venue. On a dry day it's the prettiest place to play in Glasgow, ten minutes from the West End's cafés.
South-west Glasgow's sports centre, just off the M8, takes pickleball court bookings at the city's flat £14 an hour. Paddles can be borrowed if there are any spare; balls are your job.
The south side's Castlemilk centre is a short hop from The Court and takes Glasgow Club bookings for pickleball on its badminton courts. Handy if Castlemilk or Croftfoot is home.
One of four Glasgow Club halls with proper pickleball lines rather than badminton markings, a stone's throw from Drumchapel station. That makes it one of the better courts in the west of the city.
Five minutes' walk from the city centre and one of the Glasgow Club halls with permanent pickleball lines. Book a court for an hour at £14, and bring a few balls of your own.
The grand old Kelvin Hall, opposite Kelvingrove, now houses a Glasgow Club sports hall bookable for pickleball. West End players can walk in from Partick or Finnieston.
Maryhill's four wooden courts have permanent pickleball lines, which puts them among the best-prepared council courts in the city. Book through Glasgow Club and check in together at reception.
Part of the Scotstoun sports campus, also home to the National Badminton Academy, with pickleball lines on its courts. A serious sporting setting for a very sociable game.
North Glasgow's option: Springburn's sports hall takes pickleball bookings at the standard Glasgow Club rate. It's on badminton lines, so a quick look at the kitchen line before your first rally is wise.
